In fact\, Time recently reported that 2020 had the highest death toll from gun violence in the U.S. in more than two decades. \nWe invite you to join us for an hour-long webinar to hear from Dr. Garen Wintemute and colleagues about the latest research on gun violence\, including recent data from the pandemic and economic crisis and its impacts on communities of color. \nDr. Wintemute is Director of the Violence Prevention Research Program at University of California – Davis\, a multi-disciplinary program of research and policy development on the causes\, consequences and prevention of violence\, with a focus on firearm violence. \nThis webinar is part of a learning series on the potential role(s) community foundations can play in catalyzing promising gun violence prevention strategies based on evidence and community needs.
