Setting the Table

Setting the Table
Not available anywhere else in the field, this introductory course is designed to build the skills, knowledge and resources of community foundation staff to embrace and/or deepen their community leadership practice.

Whether you are new to the community foundation field or just new to the concept of community leadership, this introductory course is for you!

Community foundation staff who register for this unique course will:

  • be introduced to the history of community foundations and community leadership
  • develop a shared understanding of important community leadership practices and the core competencies of community leadership, as outlined in the Field Guide for Community Leadership
  • apply the elements of community leadership through small group peer advising with other participants

[Community leadership] is such a vital path to take…filled with promise and potential and sometimes a little intimidating. So it is wonderful to now have a network of peers to learn from and grow with.
