CFLeads announces newest ELI for CEOs Knight Cities Cohort

CFLeads is excited to announce the formation of our newest Executive Leadership Insititute (ELI) for CEOs cohort, generously funded by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation!

ELI for CEOs Knight Cities Cohort, Pittsburgh, PA

Executive Leadership Institute (ELI)

The Executive Leadership Institute is a year-long learning opportunity that focuses exclusively on community leadership for community foundation CEOs. Over the year, ELI cohorts meet three times for two-day small group meetings, including time for structured peer advising.

We created ELI for community foundation leaders in response to growing recognition in the field that the practice of community leadership requires specific skills and strategies.

ELI for Knight Cities Cohort Participants

The participants in the ELI for Knight Cities Cohort were selected based on a number of factors, including geography, mission and organizational goals.

ELI for Knight Cities participants are excited to learn more about strategies and techniques that will advance their community leadership skills. When asked about why they are interested in strengthening their foundation’s community leadership practice, one participant noted:

“[Our] residents value collaborative leadership, and our continued success in this area requires us to be bold in new ways. The work must be done in a way that honors different points of view while remaining steadfast in its ability to support underrepresented people.”

The community foundation executives that make up this cohort are:

Advancing their community leadership practice will serve them well as they work to connect people to equitable public spaces and inclusive pathways to economic opportunity.

Please join us in congratulating these outstanding executives as they take on this important work!
