Building Broader Communities in the Americas (BBCA) is a network of community foundations and other organizations across the Americas focused on deepening their understanding of and engagement with transnational communities’ lived experiences.

We are pleased to offer two opportunities to learn more about this initiative and connect with peers across the Americas!

BBCA Virtual Gathering – February 3

Purpose: Our diaspora communities and those with high migration levels bring important assets to our regions yet often lack resources or a voice in our work. At this virtual gathering, you will meet community foundations and other organizations from across the Americas to share strategies and find new ways to collaborate with and engage these communities for the benefit of the region as a whole.

Audience: Primarily community foundations, but other migration/diaspora organizations are welcome. There are no limits on the number of participants from your foundation – board and staff are welcome! Please register individually.

Language: Interpretation services will be offered in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese, depending on participation.

Timing: Wednesday, February 3 from 2:00-5:30 p.m. EST

NOTE: This is a follow-up to the February 3rd convening. Please register for both days.

Purpose: The BBCA Mapping Project will be offering new grants in 2021 to help community foundations better understand their transnational communities. This information session is an opportunity for community foundations to learn more about the project and how to apply for a grant.

Audience: Community foundation staff in North, Central and South America and the Caribbean.

Language: Interpretation services will be offered in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese, depending on participation.

Timing: Thursday, February 4 from 1-2:30 p.m. EST
